a little christmas.. and HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

Well.. It has been a while since I posted. I had a good Christmas eve, and a wonderful Christmas day. These are two of the pairs of shoes I got and I was really excited about them!! :) I still haven't worn them because I don't want them to get all dirty ha.. ( I know, I'm weird). Well we were able to celebrate Christmas with Eric's family and talk to his younger sister, and brother who are both on missions in Chile. We had fun opening gifts and we went home and Eric and I opened the ones we gave each other. My parents came over for a bit, then we went over to their house and my Mom and Dad gave me some perfume that smells SOOO good. I was very excited about it. Well my cousin Lachelle came to visit as well. She is from Texas and she brought her boyfriend. They stayed at our house and we went to dinner, and we went shopping as well. It was good to see her. Yesterday I went and got Lasik and it was better than I thought it would be. I was a little nervous, but it was quick, and I can see pretty good already. The Dr. said that I won for the worst prescription of the day. I am surprised at how well I can see since I got it done yesterday. Well we just watched the ball drop in Times Square, New York. Eric and I are at his parents house, and we played games. It has been a wonderful year but I look forward to 2011. Happy New Year Everyone!!

True Grit

Pictures from the old & new True Grit movies..

Christmas Eve

I can't believe that it is Christmas Eve! Right now we are watching the Grinch. Eric and I went to his Grandma's this morning and had brunch with his family. His Grandma made every person a blanket! She put a lot of work and time into them, and they all turned out so good. We came back and went shopping with my family, then we went and saw the new True Grit movie with them. We watched the old True Grit this week. They were both good, but I like John Wayne. We went to Ruby River with Eric's family and opened pajamas at his parents. Now were back and my family's house watching Christmas movies. It has been a wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas everyone.. have a wonderful night before CHRISTMAS! :) Hope you are all enjoying it with family, friends, and remembering the true meaning of Christmas..

The last week..

Well we had a Christmas party at my Mom and Dad's house this week. It was really fun. We ate and played games. We had a white elephant gift exchange, and we played a game to see who could build the highest standing ballon formation. It was way funny. Well the cheerleaders had a couple games this week and MMHS played Lehi. This weekend Eric and I went to Texas Roadhouse (I think we are addicted), and then we went Christmas shopping, and there were a million people. I had a craft girls night at my house on Saturday and my sisters, mom, and sister-in-laws made Christmas cards and tags. We had fun together, and Eric watched the old True Grit movie with John Wayne, and we are excited for the new one to come out!

the past weekend..

Well this past weekend has been fun. I set up my sister-in-law with a kid I know, and they went to dinner with us at Texas Roadhouse (my new favorite) and then we went bowling at Fat Cats. It was way fun, I beat Eric at the first game and he beat me on the second! I was so close to beating him but had to get a strike on my last bowl, but I missed 2 pins! It's weird because I always been him at the first game and he beats me on the second. It always happens. Well it was fun. Saturday I was pretty worn out so Eric and I hung out at home, and I wrapped Christmas presents, clean, and got some homework done. I also watched some of the old classic Christmas movies, and we rented some movies from Redbox. Well yesterday (Monday) I went grocery shopping, and I decided to buy a brace for my knee. (It has been hurting since last week) Well the brace helped while I was at the gym this morning, but I took it off and came to school, and when I walked down the hill to go to class it was killing. I think I need to rest it longer, I have been riding the bike the past few days, but today I ran a little on it and I think that's what made it hurt really bad again. Today I had to come to a study group and then I had class for a couple hours. Then I have the girls basketball game, and boys JV basketball game to go watch the cheerleaders. Eric also has a game tonight, so today is just filled with games, but it should be fun.

Finals Week

Well next week is when we take finals. This semester hasn't been as bad as others because all my finals aren't scheduled on the same day. I did my in class presentations last week and it was good to get those done. I have to study and take two finals next week, but I feel like this semester has gone by so fast. I only have one more till I graduate. It is so weird to think about because I have been going to school since I was 5 years old! Well last night I went to the JV and Varsity boys basketball game, they lost but the cheerleaders performed well at their half time. My knee is also killing me. I have been running a lot since Monday (10 miles in a couple days), and since yesterday after I left the gym it has been hurting. It hurts when I walk down stairs, but hopefully its nothing major. I talked to a few people about it today at school and one kid said that that happened to him and he had to get surgery! It freaked me out a little, but another friend said that happened to her when she was training for a relay, and that she couldn't run on it for a few weeks, but she didn't have to get surgery on it. I hope it starts to feel better!!! Tonight I have to go to a wrestling match with the cheerleaders. Hope MMHS does well...

Pictures from the 1st Annual PRSSA Etiquette Dinner

These are the pictures from the 1st Annual PRSSA Etiquette Dinner at UVU. We had a good turn out and were able to raise money for our club. It was fun to learn how to be professional in a business/dinner setting.

Photo Shoot

Well this past week has been good, but also busy. We have been working on competition with cheer and we have had to make many changes to the routine, but the girls are progressing! Eric's Mom's family had a Christmas Dinner on Thursday, and it was good to see them all. I gave a presentation in one of my classes on the media and how it influences eating disorders. It went well, and I was going to post a movie on here that I showed in my class but it didn't work when I tried to post it. Eric's friends, Brady and Krystal came down from Idaho and stayed with us for the weekend. I went to Westlake High School with the cheerleaders, but we lost the game by about 6 points. After we went to Cafe Rio with Brady and Krystal. Saturday Eric and Brady went ice fishing early, and Krystal and I went Christmas shopping. We had fun, and the guys met us at the new Texas Roadhouse in Orem. If you haven't gone yet, you should! It is amazing. On Sunday Brady and Krystal left, and after church I had a photoshoot with a friend. It was fun, and we got some really cool pictures. He does photography, and if you ever need a good photographer for family pictures, he takes great pictures. The theme for the photo-shoot was masquerade, Can you tell?

etiquette dinner for PRSSA

Last night we had our first annual PRSSA Etiquette Dinner. It went well and we had a good turn out. We learned many things that I never even thought of before. The food was good, and it was fun meeting new people. We learned what utensils to use for each part of the dinner and how to act during a business dinner. The teacher was Anna King and she did a great job at presenting. We had a lot of fun and many PR professionals came to sponsor UVU's PRSSA Club.

Winter Wonderland

Well last night I went to the Bateman meeting, and I got an email from one of my teachers. She said that I had to do a presentation on my country report. I didn't know until 9:00 last night that I was going to have to present. Since I was gone last week on the cruise everyone signed up and the only time open was for the next day. I was stressed out because I had a law test and another presentation the next day. Well I woke up early and made a poster, researched information on Costa Rica (my country) and then I went to class. I presented both, and I handed out bananas since Costa Rica's main cash crop is bananas. Luckily, since the huge blizzard was coming through they closed the testing center! I was glad because I was already worn out with all the school work. They are going to let me take the test on Monday. I also got a parking ticket because I took my parking permit off my mirror on the way to California and forgot to put it back on. Luckily, I was able to talk UVU out of charging me because I never had a ticket before. I thought this day was going to be horrible, and long but it went by and things turned around. It is nice being home and have it snow outside. It hasn't snowed as bad as I thought it was going to. I am excited for Thanksgiving too.

BYU v New Mexico

We went to the BYU game with my cousins. It was cold, but BYU beat them. We had fun and we hung out and played games later that night. Whit and I went to the Riverwoods Mall and they have it decorated really cute for the holidays. They even gave us free apple cider, and we bought apple pie carmel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory :)

Mexico

The Baja races were going on while we were in Ensenada, Mexico. There were so many people there but it was warm and fun.

Mexico

This is in Ensenada, Mexico; and on the Cruise when we ate dinner when we dressed up for dinner.

On the Cruise

This is on our cruise. We stopped at Catalina Island and it was fun to tour the town. I had been on this same cruise with my cousins before, but Eric's work got this cruise. We had tons of fun and Laken and I sang "Cowboy Take me Away" by the Dixie Chicks one night that they had karaoke.

I Love the Vegas..

This is in Vegas. We stayed at Tahiti Village and Whit came and stayed with us. We stayed here on our way to California. We went to Claim Jumper and relaxed in the hot tub and of course- Whit and I had to stop at H&M :)!

Winter Cupcakes

These are some cupcakes I made for a get together at my Grandma Walpoles. I got the snowflakes from Cracker Barrel and they are made in German and they are edible! They were pretty good, I just thought they were really cute.
